Stations head to the fair

August 25, 2001 by Scott Jameson

Once again this year, Syracuse area radio stations are out in full force at the New York State Fair.

Y94FM is next to B104.7 which is broadcasting some of its shifts live from their Cole Muffler Court tent. Hot 107.9 tattoos can be seen on the arms and faces of teens cruising the midway. Oldies 92.1 is once again hosting regional oldies bands outside of the Center of Progress building. WFBL is greeting listeners in a camper next to the International building. Lite 105.9 is stationed near 93Q which has it's huge boom box on the outskirts of the midway. TK99 and 95X banners are scatteredthoughout the grandstands welcoming a good lineup of classic rock acts. It's hard to go far without bumping into at least one station looking to make the most out of the big crowds on hand at the 11-day event.
