The search for a programmer for Hot 107-9 is over. Erin Bristol takes over from Jason Kidd who left for Pittsburgh five months ago. Bristol moves from Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she was program director for Clear Channel’s hot AC formatted Mix 96.5.

The programming department at Galaxy Communications has been busy the past few days. As the kids head back to school, Sunny 102 is rolling back the music clock about a decade or so. Following yesterday’s day-long jock-free preview of the station’s new playlist, “The New Sunny 102.1” is now serving up an oldies-based adult contemporary

K-Rock and Scorch have parted ways. After a couple year run as morning man of the modern rock station, he’s on the street with evening guy J.J. Herr getting up early to take his place.

It’s another K-Rock in upstate New York for Syracuse-based Galaxy Communications. After four months of hot talk, Albany’s WHTR switched to a modern rock format over the weekend. Gone are Don & Mike, Tom Leykis, Phil Stern, and Opie and Anthony who were fired by their syndicators a couple weeks back. Galaxy’s Ed Levine said
