Syracuse's annual "Chick-N-Wing" festival at the Inner Harbor will be capped off by a special all-day concert called "Soundcheck Live," commemorating Dave Frisina's 30 years in radio and just about as long, his show "Soundcheck," which features local musicians.
According to a press release issued today by DMR Booking, the event will be like "a day-long walk through Syracuse Music History, featuring some of the most influential and ground-breaking musical acts hailing from the Salt City."
DMR says the lineup for "Soundtrack Live" is as follows:
The press release says "NOLA Saxman extraordinaire Tim Green" will join in with Little Georgie and the Shuffling Hungarians, and a 9-camera setup will document the entire thing for an upcoming Live DVD release. The headliner is expected to perform for 2½ hours, ending the night at about 11:30PM.
It's on rain or shine, and the press release says "patrons will be asked to make a $5 donation" to benefit the Landmark Theatre's current fundraising effort for stage expantions and renovations.
