SYRACUSE — When Syracuse University’s mens basketball season made their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance in 1957, Gerald Hoffman was behind the mic to call the action for WAER-FM. Hoffman, who graduated that year, passed away on Sunday at the age of 90.

UTICA — There will be a new face behind the anchor desk at Utica’s Eyewitness News by the middle of the month. Thomas Payeur says his last shows at ABC affiliate WUTR-20 and FOX affiliate WFXV-33 will be Friday, June 12.
SYRACUSE – Locally-owned Inner Harbor Media launched 87.7 The Spot (WQSE-LD) today, featuring mostly 90s hits, “along with a touch of the 2000s.” Station management is targeting listeners who consider this “the music the grew up loving.”
