Lineup changes at Mars Hill Network

May 12, 2025 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- The Mars Hill Network, headquartered at 102.9 WMHR in Syracuse, recently announced the arrival of a new morning host for its religious programming. A retired North Country pastor takes over the wake-up shift as the previous morning host moves to late afternoons and overnights.

In a recent email blast to listeners, Mars Hill announced Gene Brown as its new morning host, weekdays from 5-8:30am. The network says Brown recently retired as pastor of the Thousand Island Christian Church "after 40 years in ministry." He's hosting the show from a studio inside his own home in Redwood, which is north of Watertown and east of Alexandria Bay.

MHR says Linnette Pidkaminy continues to deliver newscasts and co-hosting from the network's main studios in Syracuse.

MHR says previous morning host Mark Warner is still on the lineup -- not once, but twice a day. He's hosting "The Way Home" weeknights from 5-6:30pm as well as a new program titled "Be Still" which begins at 8pm and runs through most of the overnight to 4am.

The listener-supported Mars Hill Network also included a reminder that its annual "Careathon" fundraiser continues through the end of May.

In addition to the Syracuse flagship WMHR at 102.9, the Mars Hill Network can be heard in the Utica-Rome market on 91.1 WMHU / Cold Brook, 88.5 WMHY Richfield Springs and a translator covering Little Falls and Herkimer on 100.3 FM. Coverage in Gene Brown's area is provided by 94.7 WMHI Watertown / Cape Vincent, along with translators on 100.5 in Canton, 88.3 in Gouverneur, 91.9 in Lowville and 105.9 in Ogdensburg.
