Krockathon Reboot 2025 set for July 26

May 27, 2025 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE / UTICA-ROME -- The trio of locally-owned KROCK stations announced plans for its "Krockathon Reboot" concert this morning. The July 26 show at the New York State Fairgrounds will feature three returning Krockathon bands along with two bands which are new to the Krockathon series.

According to an announcement from owner Galaxy Media, attendees will experience "performances from a full lineup of notable Krockathon alums, including Nothing More (2015), Candlebox (2006), Drowning Pool (2001, 2007). Additionally, Alien Ant Farm and Set It Off will take the Krockathon stage for the first time. The day will start off with a showcase from the School of Rock (Fayetteville, NY) students."

“One of the coolest things about last year’s Krockathon Reboot was watching long-time attendees bringing their kids for their first real rock show experience. We look forward to meeting the next generation of KROCK fans again this year,” said Marissa Greenlar, Chief Content Officer of Galaxy Media Partners, in a written statement.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, May 30. General admission tickets for the Chevy Court lawn will be $40 while supplies last. Like last year, a limited number of $150 premium "OG Passes" unlock access to a "private viewing area" with shaded seating, a dedicated bar and dedicated restrooms. Details are at krockathon.com.

KROCK started in 1990 with 94.9 WKLL Frankfort covering the Utica-Rome market. The format broke into Syracuse with 100.9 WKRL North Syracuse in 1993 and expanded its reach northward with 106.5 WKRH Minetto/Oswego in 1996, the same year the first KRockathon was held at Vernon Downs.
