More ink for TK99/TK105/WOUR middayer Dave Frisina. A little over four months after making the cover of the Syracuse NewTimes, Frisina's 30-year career in Syracuse radio is being documented by the national trade publication, Radio & Records.
The interview by R&R Senior Editor Mike Boyle does not appear on R&R's website, but it is in this week's (September 26) print edition. The article includes background on the start of Frisina's career, his time at 95X (WAQX), and his decision to leave for crosstown competitor TK99/105 (WTKW/WTKV). There's also some "inside information" on how Frisina manages to handle live shifts in Syracuse and Utica (on WOUR) at the same time.
We have a digital (PDF) copy of the interview, but we're not sure if we can legally post it here. We're awaiting an answer from R&R; if they approve, we'll share the PDF so those of you who don't have access to R&R can read the full article.
