WHCU Interviews Governor Paterson

January 30, 2009 by

ITHACA-CORTLAND -- Governor David Paterson's statewide tour (via telephone) of radio stations continued with a stop at WHCU this morning.

"Morning Newswatch" co-hosts Dave Vieser and Geoff Dunn recorded the interview with Paterson yesterday, and it aired this morning.  One segment aired at 6:15, and the remainder aired at 7:15am.  The Governor spoke about the state's financial situation, and plugged his upcoming "town hall meeting" this weekend in Auburn, where he'll field budget-related questions from the general public.

The Governor also promised WHCU listeners he would visit Tompkins County "soon," a promise he's likely to follow through on, as his daughter attends Ithaca College.

If you missed the broadcast, the entire interview is available as a podcast on the WHCU Website.
