SYRACUSE -- No word yet on who has been hired for the on-air team at Foxfur Communications' New Country WOLF 105.1 (WOLF-FM), but PD Skip Clark tells us who hasn't been hired -- a midday talent. He's putting out the last call for applications as the station hopes to get someone hired "ASAP" and unveil its jock lineup.
You'll recall the station launched at the end of August 2009, and later expanded its coverage area with the help of a second signal at 96.7 in Oswego (WWLF-FM).
Here's the job posting we received from Clark today:
Immediate opening for a on air personality in Syracuse, NY.
If you live in or close to CNY, New Country WOLF 105.1/96.7 is looking for someone to handle middays and other station responsibilities. If you love radio and have a passion and dedication for country radio email your "stuff" to Program Director Skip Clark at sclark@wolf1051.com.
We are looking to fill position ASAP. Experience is a must!
Back in late November, Foxfur Communications VP/Station Manager Sam Furco told CNYRadio.com the plan was to add hosts to the station in January, but Clark didn't say whether that schedule is still intact. Clark did tell us, "chances are we will be making an announcement soon. Should be interesting when it all happens."
He adds, "The response to WOLF 105.1/96.7 has been tremendous. CNY needed a choice for Country and I believe we are giving them a good option. We are doing some very unique things." Of course, as soon as we get that announcement, we'll pass those details along to you.
