OSWEGO -- Dave Bullard is back on the airwaves as the new Senior News Reporter/Producer at the WRVO Stations. He posted the news on his Facebook page last week, he started at the NPR affiliate on Monday and his first story aired today.
Since leaving the News Director post at Clear Channel's Newsradio 570 WSYR in 2007, Bullard had been working as a Web Development Director at CBS affiliate WWNY-TV in Watertown. And all along since 1997, he has been co-owner and managing editor of Dot Publishing, the parent company of the popular online news site, oswegocountytoday.com. Prior to WSYR, the Penn State grad owned his own company, dbMedia. Before that, you may have remembered Bullard as a producer/reporter for five years each at WTVH-TV and WHEN radio in Syracuse.
Earlier this month, WRVO Program Director Fred Vigeant told CNYRadio.com that someone had been hired for the post, but the station was not yet ready to reveal Bullard's identity. The position was first advertised in November.
In addition to the primary 89.9FM signal in Oswego, WRVO’s programming is carried on additional full-power stations in Syracuse (WRVD 90.3), Utica (WRVN 91.1), Watertown (WRVJ 91.7), Hamilton (WRCU 90.1) and Cortland (WSUC 90.5). Programming is also simulcast on translators in Watertown, Geneva, Norwich and Hamilton.
