UTICA-ROME -- From the better late than never file, there are still three more shows left in the Summer Concert Series hosted by Roser Communications' KISS-FM duo (WSKS/WSKU). They're bringing in national recording acts every other week through the rest of this month and next. Updated 2:30pm.
We apologize to Promotions Director/APD S-Dot for misplacing his press release, sent to us before the first show this past weekend, when the station hosted Lovesick Radio, the group that previously came to town for Kiss-FM's Prom Invasion.
Next show is July 24th, when the station welcomes David Correy with special guests Carmen and Camille, the latter of whom have had their music featured on MTV's The Hills.
On August 7th, RCA recording artists Young and Divine are the main attraction, known for their hit single Shake that Bubble, which was included on the "Now That's What I Call Music 33" compilation CD.
The series wraps up August 21 with Kelsey & The Chaos, who are currently part of the "Van's Warped Tour." Added at 2:30pm - S-Dot tells us Scott Savol will also be appearing... he was one of the top 5 from season 4 of American Idol (the season Carrie Underwood won).
All concerts are taking place at Sickenberger Lane on Varick Street in Utica, with general admission ticket prices set at $15 $10 (updated at 2:30pm) per show. Doors open at 8pm on each concert night.
Send us your stuff -- whether it be press releases just an informal message -- to cnyradio@cnyradio.com or use the Contact Form. We're always interested in what's new and exciting at stations in the Syracuse, Utica-Rome, Watertown and Ithaca/Cortland markets.
