UTICA-ROME -- Mike Walsh is on the move again, this time hosting a brand new talk show on Roser Communications Network's Beautiful Music B95.5 (W238CA) and WUTQ/WADR. The new show is already on-air, weekdays from 8-10am.
Before heading to Roser, Walsh most-recently worked in production at TownSquare Media's Utica cluster. However, he was more directly in the spotlight at the market's former ClearChannel cluster, first as a weekday host for former country station Bob 102.5 (WRBY) and again when the station went hot AC as Mix 102.5 (WUMX).
Walsh's new show is called Talk of the Town, airing weekdays from 8-10am, following market fixture Hank Brown's 2-hour morning show. Officials at the Roser camp say Talk of the Town is a live newsmagazine-style show focusing on "local talk, events, political races, and the issues that affect Central New Yorkers." Listeners are also invited to call in to share their opinions.
After Walsh's show concludes, the station returns to its Beautiful Music format, covering soft music from the 50s through the 80s, for the rest of the day.
Our thanks to Roser OM Dave Silvers for including us on his press release email list. If you're a station manager, make sure you also include firstname.lastname@example.org on your distribution lists for anything you send out to the national trades or the local media. Covering the happenings at 100+ stations in 4 markets can be difficult, so we appreciate your cooperation.
