ITHACA/CORTLAND — The sale (or in FCC speak, the “voluntary assignment of license”) of ESPN Radio 1160 (WPIE) from Pembrook Pines to Taughannock Media has been approved by the FCC. Notice of the approval, granted this past Monday, was released to the public today. The $150,000 deal was announced last month, with Taughannock controlling the station through a JSA with Pembrook Pines since then.
