SYRACUSE -- Kaylea Nixon is familiar to local TV viewers as the spokesperson in commercials for a local car dealership. She also does traffic reports during The Morning News on NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), and she's the co-host of the ABC affiliate's mid-morning talk show Bridge Street. But that's far from the end of her daily duties, according to a local magazine.
Nixon, with one of her pets, is the cover story of the September 2011 edition of Today's CNY Woman magazine. The story explains how Nixon keeps herself busy with the two jobs mentioned above, along with a third job with the local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. On top of that, she and her husband Jon volunteer their time for "Helping Hounds," a local animal rescue organization. In fact, the couple have five dogs, all rescues from Helping Hounds and other organizations.
To read the entire story, look for Today's CNY Woman, available for free in local supermarkets and other retail locations. (We would have also included a link to the online version, but the magazine's website appears to be under construction.)
