January 31, 2012 by

NEW YORK CITY -- Jeff Rossen, former reporter for ABC affiliates in Utica (WUTR) and Syracuse (WSYR-TV, though it was WIXT then), has been named "National Investigative  Correspondent" for NBC's Today show.  Rossen will also be producing investigative pieces for NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams and Dateline.

That's the word according to TVNewser, a national TV news trade site.  Their report includes an NBC press release issued today, which says Rossen's new assignment is "effective immediately."  The stories produced for Today will be promoted under the "Rossen Reports" banner.
