SYRACUSE — Michel Martin, host of NPR’s weekday talk show Tell Me More, is coming to Syracuse next Wednesday. Her appearance is part of the “Leaders in Communication” series at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. The talk will be free and open to the public.

Updated 6:40pm — SYRACUSE — Longtime local talk radio host Jim Reith, whose 27-year run on WSYR AM/FM suddenly ended last October during a nationwide round of Clear Channel layoffs, will soon return to local airwaves. He’ll host a daily 30-minute live talk show on WCNY-TV starting next month, and a three-hour daily radio show

Updated 4/3 — UTICA/ROME — There’s a new company, but a familiar voice, providing weather forecasts on WIBX 950 starting this morning. The Weather Channel is out, as the Townsquare Media station signs with a new provider called “The Storm Report.”
