SYRACUSE -- National Public Radio "Political Junkie" Ken Rudin is heard on radios nationwide every Wednesday during Talk of the Nation, and next week, local fans will have the chance to see and hear Rudin speaking in person. WRVO Public Media is selling tickets for Rudin's appearance in Syracuse next Thursday, May 31.
Rudin will appear at Syracuse Stage at 7:00pm on that date. The Oswego-based NPR affiliate is offering main level seating for $20 and balcony seating for $15. Tickets can be purchased through the WRVO website or by calling WRVO at 1-800-341-3690.
Rudin joined NPR in 1991, after an eight-year run in various Washington, DC-based capacities with ABC News. He left for three years in the mid 90s to serve as managing editor of a daily political newsletter, then returned to NPR in 1998. According his profile on npr.org, Rudin was a "key player" in helping NPR win the Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Silver Baton award for excellence in broadcast journalism in 2002 for coverage of campaign finance.
