New Roles for Logan and Franklin-King

SYRACUSE -- Doug Logan isn't leaving his job as Director of Time Warner Cable Sports, but he's adding a new role to help shape the future of a local hospital. Meantime, Karin Franklin-King, one of Logan's former co-workers, has a new job of her own.

According to the "Company News" column in today's Post-Standard, Logan has been appointed as a trustee on the board of the Crouse Health Foundation.  The foundation is a not-for-profit established to encourage donations to benefit services provided by Crouse Hospital.  Logan has been with Time Warner Cable Sports since 2004, following a 19-year run as Sports Director at ABC affiliate NewsChannel 9 (WIXT at the time, now WSYR-TV). Logan was known as the "Voice of the Orange" from 1980 to 2004, when he handled play-by-play of Syracuse University football and basketball for WSYR radio.

In the same column, word that Karin Franklin-King has been named marketing director at Syracuse Cultural Workers. The 2001 inductee to the Syracuse Press Club's Wall of Distinction brings over 30 years of experience from broadcasting and public relations into the position.
