POTW: Galaxy CEO Ed Levine Added to Newhouse Gallery (2012)

November 16, 2012 by

SYRACUSE -- For new students visiting the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications for the first time, one of the most impressive sights is the school's Professional Gallery.  This year, the school inducted forty people to the gallery, including Ed Levine, CEO and President of Galaxy Communications, the Syracuse-based owner of 14 radio stations in the Syracuse and Utica-Rome markets.

Ed Levine is pictured at right, alongside Lorraine Branham, Dean of the Newhouse School.  You can see Levine's photo and profile on the wall behind them.  The Professional Gallery includes hundreds of successful broadcasters who all have one thing in common -- their careers started with an education at Newhouse.

Other notable names in this year's class of inductees include CBS News anchor Jeff Glor, who formerly worked at Syracuse's NBC-3 (WSTM), ESPN anchor Anish Shroff, who formerly worked at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) and NPR midday newscaster Lakshmi Singh, who once worked in the newsroom at SU-owned NPR affiliate WAER 88.3.

Got Pictures?
