SYRACUSE -- There's a new co-host next to Steve Infanti on "Bridge Street" on NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), but the name is a familiar one to Syracuse TV audiences. Iris St. Meran was introduced as the long-running local daytime talk show's co-host on Monday.
The new role was revealed yesterday morning on-air, followed by a post on the Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate's website. St. Meran has been on TV in Syracuse for over a decade, starting out at the former News 10 Now / YNN (now Spectrum News), before joining NewsChannel 9 in 2021.
The hour-long "Bridge Street" airs weekdays at 10am on NewsChannel 9. Steve Infanti, the station's longtime Sports Director, added "Bridge Street" co-hosting duties in 2020.
The show started in 2004 in a half-hour timeslot at 12:30pm, with Rick Gary and Julie Abbott hosting. The following January, the show expanded to a full hour in its current timeslot.
