Morning Anchor Amanda Hull Leaving WSTM

December 28, 2023 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- Last week, we reported on a morning news anchor job opening at CNY Central. Now, the mystery surrounding that vacancy is explained, as one of morning anchors on NBC3 (WSTM) has announced they are leaving the station.

Our thanks to a CNYTVNews.com reader who tipped us off to a social media post by Amanda Hull, who announced tomorrow, December 29, will be her final day co-hosting Today in Central New York alongside Lisa Spitz and meteorologist Sam Postich.

In her post, Hull says, "It’s been an absolute honor to tell the stories of CNYers and meet all the amazing people along the way. These last 4 years have flown by. A BIG thank you to everyone who’s welcomed me into your home each morning as I got to pursue my dream job."

While Hull hasn't announced exactly where she's headed next, it looks like she won't be headed to a larger TV market. She ended the post saying, "I will be staying in CNY and am so excited to announce the next step in my journey."

In addition to her TV duties at WSTM-TV, Hull had been providing morning drive news updates for locally-owned WOLF Radio Inc. classic top 40 radio station 95.3 / 103.9 The Dinosaur (WSEN).
