UTICA-ROME — He didn’t get to say goodbye to listeners, but Brandon C. has completed his final afternoon drive show for 97.9/105.5 KISS-FM (WSKS/WSKU). The personality announced on Facebook this evening he’s no longer affiliated with the station.
Caswell, who only used his last initial on-air, hosted “What Up Radio” weekdays from 2-7pm. On Facebook, he said, “As of 2-day, I am no longer affiliated w/ KISS FM or Roser Communications, & that’s all I really care to say about that…”
He went on to reflect, “Professionally, radio is all I’ve known for almost 20 years, as I take this time to reflect, recalibrate, & plot the next move, I will still available for booking [for private DJ events], w/ a few dates left open on the 2026 calendar.”
Caswell wrapped his post thanking fans for their support. “Utica, I came to u in 2013, u immediately accepted me as ur own, & I love U forever for that… it’s been real,” he posted.
Brandon C has been with KISS-FM for nearly 13 years, joining the station in October 2013. Before that, he worked at what used to be MoVIN’ 96.5 in Syracuse, following a stint across town at 93Q (WNTQ).
No word yet on who will be replacing Brandon C on afternoons at KISS, but if station management, insiders or listeners find out before we do, we’re always looking for news tips!
