AllAccess.com is reporting that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is fining Roser Communications $8,800 for Emergency Alert System (EAS) violations at Bug Country (WBGK/WBUG-AM/FM) in Utica. The fine was lowered from $11,000 upon review of the stations' prior history of compliance.
The show got its start on Jazz 88 (WAER) almost two years ago, and a syndicated version was picked up by the WOR Network and 30 stations across the country earlier this year. Now, Big Bands, Ballads, and Blues is moving to TalkRadio 1050 (WFBL) in Syracuse on Sundays from 8 - 10 a.m.

Big Frog 104 (WFRG) welcomes back David Hopperfield who hops into the 7 p.m. to midnight shift beginning this week. A familiar voice to WFRG listeners, Hopperfield worked at the station a few years back before Bullfrog's arrival.
Sid Rosenberg has been axed from Don Imus' syndicated morning show.
