Citadel Communications, a publicly traded company until it was purchased by Forstmann Little who then took it off the market last year, has filed an offering with the New York Stock Exchange to raise $575 million.

In Arbitron trend numbers released today, Hot 107-9 moved from fourth to second in the rankings of number of listeners 12+ with the Clear Channel station gaining a full ratings point. 93Q was down a full point resulting in a swap in ranks for the the two contemporary hits formatted stations.

WCNY’s Bill Baker and Tim Fox of WIXT TV 9 will play musicians-on-the-lam in Syracuse Stage’s annual Old Time Radio Show production which, this year, is based on the 1959 film Some Like it Hot. Things got a bit wild at KISS-FM in Utica over the weekend as a nasty storm knocked out windows, took down satellites, and kicked the station off the air for a few hours. Jason Jackson, host of ESPN Radio’s afternoon show Gameday, is leaving the network. Until a permanent host is found, the network will rely on rotating fill-in hosts. ESPN Radio is heard on WNSS 1260 AM in Syracuse.

After three years of anouncing play-by-play action of Syracuse University basketball and football, Dave Pasch is leaving to accept a similar position for the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

The final tally is in for the 12th annual WFAN Radiothon with Don Imus. $200,000 was raised from phone pledges and donations over the Internet during a 28-hour period. Listen for some changes on SportsRadio 620 during the evening hours as Fox Sports Radio hires Steve Czaban to takes over the 7-10 p.m. slot. In the past, Czaban has frequently filled in for Jim Rome. That move bumps J.T. ‘The Brick’ to 10 p.m. – 2 a.m. and Dan Sileo exits the network altogether.
