Former Y94FM (WYYY) midday personality Jeanne Ashley, currently doing middays at Star 102 in Kansas City, adds hosting duties for Y94FM’s Love Songs at Night. Star 102 is owned by Infinity Broadcasting.

570 WSYR’s news director and director of programming, Bill Carey, has been honored by the Syracuse Press Club with a Bliven-Ganley-Rossi Career Achievement Award. Carey returned to radio last year after a long run in television news at WTVH TV 5 and WIXT TV 9.

Former Syracuse television news anchor and investigative reporter Sheryl Nathans died yesterday in a Pennsylvania hospice.   Nathans, 55, who was diagnosed with incurable cancer two months ago, chose to “go quietly into the night” instead of fighting the disease with conventional treatments.
