SYRACUSE -- CNY Talk Radio (WFBL/WMCR-AM) local midday host Jon Alvarez announced on today's broadcast that he's ending his show, effective immediately. Starting Monday, the stations will fill the time with an extra hour of Laura Ingraham until a permanent replacement is named. (Updated 6:50pm with correction.)

SYRACUSE -- Change is already in the air at the Buckley Radio compound in Baldwinsville, just a day after Leatherstocking Media Group's LMA on the cluster went into effect. WSEN AM and FM are no longer simulcasting the same "Classic Hits" format. Instead, WSEN 1050AM is simulcasting WFBL's "Oldies 1390" format.
SYRACUSE -- The pricetag on the sale of Buckley Radio's three-station Syracuse cluster to James V. Johnson's Leatherstocking Media Group was revealed today. In documents filed with the FCC, the purchase price is listed as $2.1 million.
NPR affiliate WRVO Oswego has changed the frequency of its Geneva translator, to avoid interference with a commercial station in Syracuse.
