Last week Syracuse's Radio Disney affiliate, WOLF 1490 AM, began broadcasting a digital signal. After shelling out $80,000 for the upgrade, the station is now ready for the day that digital receivers become available to consumers later this year.

New domain name for WOLF tribute site

Bob Mitchell's WOLF tribute site has a new domain name as of this week. The new URL is: www.wolf1490.net. Mitchell recently worked out some technical issues with Tripod's hosting service and says, "the new domain will hopefully be in place for a long time to come, no matter where the actual site is located."

WOLF AM wants to go non-directional

Radio Disney affiliate WOLF 1490 AM may soon be transmitting a signal that is non-directional. WOLF Radio, Inc. is requesting a construction permit to make the change now that CRFC in Kingston, Ontario is no longer on the air.
