SYRACUSE -- Big news from the Citadel camp on James Street this afternoon: the station confirms WNSS will remain a sports-talker branded as "The Score 1260" as of March 5th. Even more of a surprise: Lite Rock 105.9 will be flipped to an FM talk format, branded as "105.9 The Big Talker."

Updated 1/27 at 4:00pm -SYRACUSE -- It appears that both FM translators that will soon be part of Galaxy Communications' ESPN Radio affiliation are ready for the change, more than a month in advance. The translator at 97.7FM (W249BC/Mattydale) has switched from simulcasting K-Rock (WKRL) to simulcasting future ESPN Radio anchor WTLA (1200).
SYRACUSE and UTICA-ROME -- The New ESPN Radio 97.7 and 100.1 FM haven't even launched yet, but owner Galaxy Communications is announcing some big additions to their programming lineups: namely, coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament this spring and live coverage of New York Giants games next season.
LAS VEGAS -- The long-awaited rumors of Citadel Broadcasting's "pre-arranged bankruptcy" plan are now reality. Several sources are reporting the company -- which owns 224 stations, including 4 in Syracuse -- officially filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection this morning.
