SYRACUSE -- Public broadcaster WCNY-TV/FM has named John S. Tonello as Vice President of Advancement, Communications and Content Delivery. Along with more than 20 years of experience in the communications field, Tonello brings experience in running a city -- in December, he wrapped up a two-term run as the Mayor of Elmira.

SYRACUSE -- The annual "Great TV Auction," more commonly known as TelAuc, returns to WCNY one week from tonight. During a total of eight nights over two weekends, viewers will have the chance to score some big bargains, with proceeds from winning bids benefiting the PBS affiliate's continued operation.
