AllAccess.com reports former Hot 107.9 (WWHT) jock “Jordan” scored a promotion this week.  He moves from nights to afternoons at Cincinnati’s Kiss 107 (WKFS). 

Marty’s ‘one man party’ in the morning on Hot 107-9 (WWHT) has a new co-host. Syracuse native Shannon Wells is heading north from ‘The Zone’ (WOZN) in Greensboro, North Carolina where she’s done middays for the past year. Before that, Wells had worked weekends at WXKS in Boston.

It looks like the dust hasn’t settled yet over at Hot 107-9 (WWHT). On the heels of Nicole Wilcox’s exit to Florida last week, comes word that her morning show partner, Dakota, has left the building as well.

Congratulations to former Hot 107-9 (WWHT) program director Jason Kidd and his wife Tara who welcomed 8 lb, 4 oz Aidan Lee into the world over the weekend. Kidd moved to WKST in Pittsburgh last month.

Ten Syracuse radio stations are sponsoring two different radiothons over the next two days to benefit the two Manlius firefighters who died in the line of duty last week. Funds raised will go directly to the families of Timothy Lynch and John Ginocchetti.

Hot 107-9 morning man Dakota is in need of a new co-host, and what better way to pick one than a contest. He’s taking applications in the form of a picture and 100-word essay, and beginning Monday, March 25, sixteen finalists will be auditioned live on the air and eliminated until only one is left.

Hot 107-9 morning show producer Carson is headed to New Orleans. He’s taking over evenings at B97 (WEZB). The top 40 formatted station is owned by Entercom, the country’s fifth largest radio group.

In numbers released yesterday by Arbitron for the first monthly trends of the winter ratings period, at 9.7, B104.7 gained a full ratings point keeping the station at the top of the rankings.

Hot 107-9’s (WWHT) soon-to-be former program director Jason Kidd has been named winner of this year’s Central New York Sales And Marketing Executive Award. Hot 107-9 program director and afternoon jock Jason Kidd has signed on as the new program director at fellow Clear Channel station KISS 96-1 (WKST) in Pittsburgh. Until a replacement is found here in Syracuse, Kidd will continue his Hot 107-9 programming duties remotely from his new digs.
