Sheryl Nathans diagnosed with terminal cancer

Veteran Syracuse broadcaster Sheryl Nathans announced this week that she has incurable lung cancer and has moved into a Pennsylvania hospice to "go as gently into the night as I can."

Nathans, 55, spent more than 15 years at WIXT-TV 9 and WTVH-TV 5 as a news anchor and local investigative reporter. She also hosted the public affairs program Every Woman Everywhere for a time on 570 WSYR.
