Opening day for the SkyChiefs on WNSS

April 4, 2002 by Scott Jameson

The Syracuse SkyChiefs kick off their 2002 season this afternoon at 2 p.m. against the Rochester Red Wings. Beginning this year, ESPN Radio 1260 (WNSS) takes over as the radio broadcast home of the team with Bob McElligott announcing the play-by-play action.

McElligott has been the voice of the SkyChiefs for the past several years at rival SportsRadio 620 (WHEN). Sources say color commentators have been lined up for many upcoming home games.
