Veteran Syracuse newsman Bill Carey is leaving 570 WSYR for Time Warner Cable’s new 24-hour local news channel, News 10 Now.
Carey, who has been WSYR’s news director and afternoon anchor for the past two years, worked previously as a reporter for WIXT TV 9 and news director at WTVH 5.
His last day at WSYR is September 10.
