'Countryfest' comes to Clinton Square

May 24, 2004 by Scott Jameson

Syracuse may end up with the largest free country music festival in New York State. At least that's the goal.

The city is teaming up with Galaxy Communications for a one-day free concert at Clinton Square on July 10 featuring country stars Lee Greenwood, Marty Stuart, and John Anderson.

Galaxy president Ed Levine hopes to break even on his company's expected cost of $100,000 to stage the event.
