A one-day radiothon on Power 106.9 (WPHR) is being credited with saving Syracuse's Juneteenth Celebration from being severely cut back this year. The radiothon was held last Sunday at the Clear Channel studios on Plum Street in Syracuse.
Sorry we don't have any names -- none of the photos on Power 106.9's website had captions. But the important part of the story is how the one-day effort raised more than $20,000, allowing the celebration to continue with a full schedule this year.
Send Us Your Pictures!
To be frank, we'd love it if YOU sent in pictures from your station events (with captions) so we don't have to hunt down photos every week. (Friday always seems to sneak up on us and we wind up scrambling last-minute -- or sometimes after the last-minute -- to find a photo!)
We'd be grateful for a look at what's happening currently at your station, or a look back at something significant from years past. Just send 'em to pictures <at> cnyradio.com.
