The Syracuse Post-Standard reports a judge has issued an injunction, barring Clear Channel from holding an outdoor festival to coincide with the "Taste of Syracuse" event happening in Syracuse's Clinton Square this weekend. The "Taste of Syracuse" is organized by Snafu Promotions LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Galaxy Communications.
The article from today's paper says a State Supreme Court judge issued the order today, after a lawyer for Snafu argued Clear Channel's event would be "unfair competition" to the Snafu event, and people wouldn't be able to distinguish the difference between the two events.
I find it funny that the event is being put on by Snafu promotions. Snafu sounds like the state of Syracuse radio.
I thought competition was good....
