WFRY Announces Overnight Plan

September 30, 2008 by

Last week, we told you how the merger of Jones Radio Networks and Dial Global will result in the termination of the syndicated country overnight "Danny Wright All Night" show by the end of the year.  Today, Watertown's Froggy 97 (WFRY) has unveiled its plan for 2009.

PD/morning co-host James Pond tells the station will not replace Wright with any other national personality.  Rather, they'll debut "The Most Music Overnight Show," featuring plenty of current hits, country classics, and listener requests via email.

Big Frog 104 (WFRG) is also affected by Wright's departure. contacted Regent Utica Operations Manager Bill McAdams last week for comment, but he has not responded.
