SYRACUSE -- Later this month, Classic FM (WCNY) airs a special edition of Bluegrass Ramble in honor of the show's 36th anniversary. And you're invited to attend the show's taping tomorrow -- free admission, and no reservations required.
According to the Bluegrass Music News Magazine, host Bill Knowlton will welcome Lake Effect, the Tired Hands String Band and Bristol Mountain Bluegrass. The 3-hour anniversary special will be recorded on Saturday, January 10 from 2-5pm at the WCNY Studios on Old Liverpool Road in Syracuse (Google Map). Being a member of the studio audience is free -- just show up at the station.
In the event of inclement weather, the show will be taped on Sunday (presumably at the same time).
The anniversary special will be broadcast on WCNY 91.3FM (and simulcast on Utica's WUNY 89.5 and Watertown's WJNY 90.9) on Sunday, January 18 from 9pm to midnight.
