CHICAGO - Longtime news commentator Paul Harvey died in Arizona on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. He was 90. A spokesperson for ABC Radio Networks says Harvey died surrounded by his family.
The reports said a cause of death was not immediately available. ABC Radio Networks has a special page recapping Harvey's seven-decade career in radio, along with a full biography.
Harvey's syndicated reports were carried locally on Newsradio 570 WSYR in Syracuse, up until August 2008. He was also carried by various stations in the Utica-Rome area (we believe, the last being Warm/Kool-FM 93.5). And a somewhat outdated-looking website for WATN in Watertown lists Harvey on the schedule there, as well.
