SYRACUSE -- It's been decades since "Happy Jack" Macnamee sat behind the microphone at WNDR, but his familiar voice returned to the airwaves for a short time this past weekend.
Our thanks to John Walsh for sending in this photo of Macnamee. He appeared for a live interview on "The Wax Museum" with Walsh and Ronnie Dark last Saturday night. As you can see, he was all smiles to be back in the studio, surrounded by vinyl and carts. The show airs on Sundays from 7-10pm on Love Radio 95.3 (WVOA). The station is also streamed online at wvoaradio.com.
We're always interested in a glimpse at what's happening today at your station, or a look back at something or someone notable from the past. Send those shots to cnyradio@cnyradio.com. There's a new Picture of the Week every Friday.
Correction- The show airs Sunday evenings from 7-10pm
My apologies! I misread the email I had from John Walsh. Yes, the show airs on Sundays. I've fixed it in the article.
Great to see "Happy Jack's" picture and know he's still hangin' in!! I worked with Jack at WABY in Albany in '59 and again in the mid '70s at WNDR. Nice to see that some of us old guys are still around.
