SYRACUSE -- The long-anticipated debut of on-air personalities at New Country WOLF(-FM) 105.1 and 96.7 (WLLF-FM) happens today. According to an email blast sent out to listeners late last night, the station will begin airing the syndicated "Big D & Bubba" show this morning.
Ironically, WOLF's direct competitor is Clear Channel's B104.7 (WBBS) -- while Big D & Bubba are syndicated by Premiere Radio Networks, which is owned by Clear Channel. The show is carried by over 50 affiliates nationwide.
The email blast sent out to WOLF listeners last night did not mention the names of any other personalities on the station, however, the station website now shows PD Skip Clark as the afternoon host and the Westwood One-syndicated CMT Radio Live with Cody Alan in place for nights.
There's still a "coming soon" graphic on the midday host page. As of mid-January, the station was still looking to hire someone for that timeslot. No word yet on whether a hire has been made yet. We'll update as soon as we can tomorrow if/when we hear anything new.
