SYRACUSE -- Galaxy Communications says acclaimed blues musician Kenny Wayne Shepherd will headline next month's "Blues, Brews and BBQ" hosted by classic rocker TK99/TK105 (WTKV/WTKW). Organizers have also announced the rest of the lineup, along with ticketing information.
VP Programming Mimi Griswold tells CNYRadio.com, "We look forward to jumpstarting summer each year at Blues Brews and BBQ and with Kenny bringing his flashy guitar work...what a way to kick the party season off."
The all-day festival is set to take place Sunday, May 30th on the Chevy Court stage at the New York State Fairgrounds. Other performers booked include Gary Hoey, Shemekia Copeland and Luther “Guitar Jr.” Johnson. Griswold says, "doors will open at 1 p.m. and music will start at 2 p.m. with The Chris Terra Band."
Advance sale tickets, $20 each, go on sale Saturday, April 24th via Ticketmaster (in-person, by phone or online), at area NAPA Auto Parts stores, and through the TK99 website via Paypal. Barbeque and beverages will be available for purchase on site.
Thanks to Mimi Griswold for including us on her press release distribution list. If you've got special events in the works at your station, we'd be happy to cover them also! All you have to do is make sure we get a copy of the press release -- or even just an informal email with the details -- to cnyradio@cnyradio.com.
