UTICA/ROME -- There were some big changes to Big Frog 104's (WFRG) annual FrogFest this year, but the changes didn't keep crowds away. After several years at Verona Beach State Park, the concert was held at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds -- and admission was charged. The concert also included a rodeo.
According to the Utica Observer-Dispatch, about 5,500 advance sale ticketholders were joined by thousands more who bought tickets at the gate. This was the 23rd year for Frogfest, a tradition that goes back to WFRG's beginnings as 96 Frog in 1988.
