SYRACUSE -- Fans of the Mars Hill Network's religious programming have at least two chances in the near future to gather and enjoy some family-friendly entertainment. The stations are also preparing for some weekend program lineup changes in August.
This Thursday, it's "Faith and Family Night" at Alliance Bank Stadium, with "Five to Life" offering a live concert from 5:30 to 6:45. Then, teens from "Freedom Village USA" will sing the National Anthem before the Syracuse Chiefs play the Columbus Clippers.
Next Thursday, August 4th, Mars Hill Network welcomes Christian recording artist Robin Mark to town for a live performance at North Syracuse Baptist Church. The show is slated to begin at 7:00pm.
Tickets for both events can be purchased through the network's "Peak Partners," which include a number of retail stores throughout the Syracuse area. Details are posted on the Mars Hill Network website. The Syracuse-based network consists of flagship WMHR, other full-power stations in Rochester, Watertown, Massena and Utica (WMHU), and a number of FM translators scattered across the entire state.
According to the MHN website, Grace to You, which currently airs weekdays at 12:30pm, will be heard six days a week, expanding to Saturdays for the same half-hour timeslot. The program Words to Live By, which currently airs Saturdays at 12:30, will move to 4pm, replacing a half-hour syndicated news block.
Also effective August 6, the network will add Living on the Edge, hosted by Chip Ingram, on Saturdays at 7:00pm. No word on what's happening with Words That Transform, the program currently listed on the network's program schedule for that timeslot.
