Updated 9:00pm with date correction -- SYRACUSE -- Longtime morning show host "Big Mike" Fiss is promising "the biggest line-up ever" for his annual Christmas broadcast on Sunny 102.1 (WZUN) on Wednesday, December 21. That's because this will be the 30th year Fiss has hosted the live-on-location broadcast, featuring holiday favorites performed by local talent. You can listen on the radio or attend in person.
The live broadcast will take place on December 21 from 6-10am at Driver's Village (the former Penn Can Mall) in Cicero, near the intersection of Interstates 81 and 481. Doors open at 6am, and those who wish to attend should use the "Green Mall Entrance" between the Lincoln-Mercury and Mazda dealerships. Admission is free, and there will be free breakfast treats while supplies last.
Here's the full lineup Fiss provided to CNYRadio.com:
Big Mike started the live on-air Christmas concerts when he did mornings at 94 Rock (the original WSYR-FM, before it changed to Y94FM/WYYY) and took the tradition along with him when he moved to Sunny 102 ten years ago.
When this article originally ran, I listed the wrong date for the broadcast. The article has been corrected throughout the reflect the correct date, Wednesday, December 21. My apologies for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the error -- guess I'm just eager for Christmas to get here!! (PN, Editor)
