Two ACM Nominations for B104.7

January 26, 2012 by CNYRadio.com

SYRACUSE -- Congratulations again to Clear Channel's B104.7 (WBBS) for showing up twice on the list of nominations for this year's Academy of Country Music Awards.  One nomination is for the station as a whole; the other is for the station's morning show.

Morning show hosts Tom Owens & Becky Palmer are nominated for "On-Air Personality of the Year - Medium Market."  They're up against other morning shows from stations in Calfornia, Oklahoma, Florida and Ohio.

WBBS is up for "Radio Station of the Year - Medium Market," along with WYRK in Buffalo and two stations in California (one of which, KUZZ, is also in the personality category).

This isn't the first time B104.7 has been nominated for ACM awards: the station has appeared on the ACM nomination list every year since CNYRadio.com was revived in 2008 (see previous coverage from 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

National Nominations

A number of syndicated personalities who can be heard on various country radio stations throughout Central New York also received nominations for the "On-Air Personality of the Year - National" category.  They include Cody Alan, Kix Brooks, Crook and Chase, Lon Helton and Lia.
