UTICA -- After six years of climbing Smith Hill every morning while most of us sleep, WKTV morning co-anchor Megan Koskovich is leaving the NBC affiliate shortly after the current February sweeps period ends. She's making a rather big jump up the TV market ladder, but she likely won't be seen on-camera.
According to TVSpy, a national TV news trade site, Koskovich has a new job as a producer at WMAR, the ABC affiliate in Baltimore, MD. The market is the 27th largest in the nation, as ranked by TV ratings giant Nielsen. By comparison, Utica is market #172.
The February ratings period continues through February 29. Koskovich will finish out the week, with Friday, March 2 being her last day at WKTV. No word yet on a replacement to sit alongside co-anchor Don Shipman and meteorologist Bill Kardas.
