SYRACUSE -- Six graduates of Onondaga Community College are being honored as the college's latest "alumni faces" today. Among them: Niko Tamurian, CNY Central (WSTM/WTVH/WSTQ-LP) sports anchor and graduate of the OCC Class of 2005.
According to a press release issued by OCC, Tamurian and the other honorees are being recognized "for their achievements and contributions to the Onondaga community" this morning, at the SRC Arena events center on the OCC campus. The theme for this morning's event is "A Celebration of Success." Tamurian will be honored along with five other OCC graduates who went on to prominent positions within their own careers.
After completing his studies at OCC, Tamurian went on to SUNY Buffalo for his bachelor's degree. While attending Buffalo, he interned at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV), and joined CNY Central soon after his graduation in 2007.
