UTICA/ROME -- The newsroom at Townsquare Media's 950 WIBX is a bit shorthanded this week, following the departure of Gino Geruntino. He has accepted a new position with Oswego NPR affiliate WRVO, leaving WIBX on the search for a replacement.
WIBX program director Jeff Monaski had only good things to say about Geruntino's two years at WIBX. "Gino is an enthusiastic young journalist who was a strong contributor to the WIBX team and we were happy to have him begin his multimedia and broadcasting career with us," Monaski told CNYRadio.com. We wish him the best as he moves on to pursue new opportunities."
Monaski says Geruntino's last day with WIBX was this past Friday.
