UTICA/ROME -- After 43 years in radio -- the last 15 of them on mornings at Big Frog 104 (WFRG) -- Bill McAdams (a/k/a "Tadpole"), is getting ready to hang up his headphones. And the station that often tops the Utica-Rome ratings charts already has a replacement lined up.

That's according to a blog post on the station's website today, written by Bill's co-host and wife, Stacey (aka "Polly Wogg") on the station's website today.

In the post, Polly reminisces on Tadpole's radio career, starting as a sports director in Illinois in 1978. "65 basketball games later he decided it wasn't for him" and McAdams transitioned over to the music side of radio. The two met up north in Watertown, but worked in Ohio, Kentucky and Arizona before returning to New York and Big Frog 104.

Carl Neff will be Tadpole's replacement, starting in a few weeks. But "Tad won't be gone forever," the post explains, "we'll check in from time to time" and it's expected that Tad will continue to join Polly for their thrice-weekly "Chaos in the Kitchen" videos on Facebook.

Although Big Frog 104 has the morning show side of McAdams' position filled, they're looking for someone to take over the Brand Manager side -- that job is posted here.
